College Volleyball: CMU wins NAIA national championships opener in five sets

SIOUX CITY, Iowa - Central Methodist freshman defensive specialist Krsytal Brauner had 21 digs and freshman right-side hitter Callie Henson added five kills Tuesday in the Eagles' 22-25, 15-25, 25-17, 25-23, 15-11 win against Bellevue (Neb.) to open pool play at the NAIA volleyball national championships.

This season, Brauner has 548 digs to lead the Eagles, while Henson is third on the team with 236 kills.

Central Methodist (31-3), ranked No. 12 in the NAIA, will play Indiana-Kokomo at noon today and then Southern Oregon at noon Thursday to wrap up pool play.
