Your Opinion: Paying immigrants who violate our laws

Dear Editor:

The number of illegal aliens coming into our country this year is at an all-time high. The border wall construction has been halted even after funding was already approved and materials are rusting away laying on the ground.

A taxpayer-funded wall has been constructed around the White House and around President Biden's Rehoboth Beach house, but we're constantly hearing walls don't work or they are immoral.

However, if you are a Democrat those statements don't apply to you because you are entitled to special protections and access to the slush fund at the Treasury.

The "Remain in Mexico" policy has been reversed and now this administration has determined to reward aliens that have broken our immigration laws by paying reparations of $450,000 each and possibly as much as $1 million per family.

American citizens who violate the law are also separated from their children and families when arrested for crimes, but those families are not given reparations for that separation. In fact, most people arrested must pay fines and attorney fees to boot.

We provide taxpayer-funded lawyers and every social welfare program available free to these illegals, so why wouldn't we be experiencing a stampede at our southern border? Where is the consideration for struggling American citizens and homeless veterans? Nowhere!

There are so many foolish and dangerous things going on under this administration, it's hard to keep up. It is a purposeful distraction to divide and conquer used by those following the Rules for Radicals by Saul Alinsky. Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and others were known students of these teachings. They have used most of the Rules for Radicals in their political careers, but Rule 13 seems to have been used especially against President Trump: "Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it and polarize it. Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions."

It should be concerning who Alinsky gives credence to for his philosophy: "Lest we forget at least an over-the-shoulder acknowledgment to the very first radical: from all our legends, mythology and history (and who is to know where mythology leaves off and history begins - or which is which). The first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom." - Lucifer.
