Dear Editor:
I enjoyed a recent letter in these pages about forgiveness.
A Southern governor had strangely supported segregation. Two decades later he apologized to a Black congregation. He was forgiven.
My religious beliefs are, somewhat, different than those of the letter writer. We have, at least, one thing in common, a belief in forgiveness.
It is easy for us to dwell on our differences. A little bit more effort will allow us to see what we have in common.
Forgiveness can lead us toward a more peaceable planet. Thank you again to the gentleman who wrote the letter.
