I would like to recommend a book that everyone should read. It's called "The Deficit Myth," by Stephanie Kelton. It's about modern monetary theory, actually part of the title.
You Republicans and so-called conservatives would learn a lot from this book and so would our congressmen in Washington. Don't be afraid to read it.
The book is about debt, money, where money is created, what grows and doesn't grow an economy. I highly recommend you get a copy.
I think most of the hot air in Washington, D.C., on debt and government spending is political and not based on economics and monetary policy.
Please get a copy and when done, pass it along, even to a library or school.
