If you care enough about road conditions to vote on April 6 to extend the county-wide sales tax for the purpose of maintaining roads and bridges, you should know state representatives Dave Griffith and Rudy Veit voted Tuesday to not fund the Missouri Department of Transportation's request for funds to help recruit and retain employees (House Amendment 3, HCS HB4). MODOT has been asking for these funds for five years.
Griffith and Veit aren't working for us. Remember this when they're up for re- election next year.
