Dear Editor:
Concerning the Electoral College: Am I overstating the danger when I say that we live in an age when a couple of teenage computer wizards could control the outcome of a presidential election? How about the Russians, or the Chinese? Would Muslim fundamentalists do such a dastardly thing? Maybe empowering a group of mostly old-school American guardians, who have an elemental loyalty to our national survival, is a good alternative to total vulnerability to a threat that actually does exist, and that will actually destroy us if it is able to do so.
