3 suspects in custody, 1 flees after Missouri vehicle crash

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (AP) -- Three suspects in a St. Joseph shooting are in custody following a brief vehicle chase Thursday by the Missouri State Highway Patrol that ended with a rollover crash.

Law enforcement authorities had been looking for the suspects following a shooting earlier in the morning in downtown St. Joseph that left one person injured, said Patrol Sgt. Bill Lowe.

The chase lasted about two or three minutes and ended shortly before 11 a.m. after the suspects' vehicle rolled in a ditch in a rural area of Platte County.

All four occupants took off running after the crash, Lowe said. Authorities are still looking for one man.
