Two men have been charged after a drug bust earlier this month in Moniteau County

According to a Moniteau County Sheriff's Department press release, on Oct. 19 deputies went to the California Motel to follow up on information that a man by the name of John Brinkley, 56, of Kansas City, was staying there and that Brinkley had a felony no bond warrant out of Camden County for failure to appear on drug charges.

Brinkley was found in his room along with another man later identified as Daryl Baker, 60, of California.

Deputies obtained consent to search the room and allegedly located methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, false bottom containers with drug residues, syringes containing methamphetamine, packaging materials, oxycodone pills and hydrocodone pills. Both men were then taken into custody and transported to the Moniteau County Jail.

Brinkley and Baker were both charged with delivery of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
