Mid-Missouri crashes injure 10

Three people from Eldon were hurt in a one-vehicle crash early Monday morning in Miller County.

Missouri Highway Patrol reports show the crash occurred at 12:10 a.m. on East Lake View Drive, just south of Christian Drive.

Courtney Sargent, 30, failed to negotiate a curve and went off the left side of the road. Her vehicle struck a tree and returned to the road, then went off the right side of the road and struck another tree.

Sargent and her two passengers - a 9-year-old boy and an 8-year old girl - were treated for moderate injuries. None of them was wearing seat belts.

One person was hurt in a two-vehicle crash Sunday night in Cole County.

Patrol reports show the crash occurred on Route C, just east of Rockridge Road, at 7:57 p.m.

Jamie Webster, 26, of Jefferson City, was going west on Route C while Wesley Ford, 33, of Jefferson City, was going west on the shoulder of Route C riding a pedalcycle.

Ford was pulling another pedalcycle with his left hand. Webster failed to drive within the single lane and went off the right side of the road, striking the rear wheel of the pedalcycle Ford was pulling.

Webster had no reported injuries. Ford was treated for minor injuries.

A Fulton man died in a one-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon in Audrain County.

Patrol reports show the crash occurred at 3:28 p.m. on Route B, a half-mile north of U.S. 54.

Lary Turner, 71, crossed the center line, and his vehicle went off the left side of the road and overturned. He was not wearing a seat belt and was later pronounced dead at University Hospital in Columbia.

Three people were hurt in a two-vehicle crash Saturday night in Miller County.

Patrol reports show the crash occurred at 7:45 p.m. on Route Y at Beacon Road.

Luke Forbes, 23, of Yorba Linda, California, failed to yield to a vehicle driven by Stephanie Rideout, 19, of Ozark, and the two vehicles collided.

Forbes had no reported injuries. Rideout and two passengers - Christina Martin, 23, of Eldon, and a 17-year-old girl from Kaiser - were treated for minor injuries.

Two people were treated for serious injuries after a one-vehicle crash Saturday night in Morgan County.

Patrol reports show the crash occurred at 6:23 p.m. on Route D at Sims Road.

An unknown defect caused the acceleration to lock on a vehicle driven by Anthony Tigar, 26, of Jefferson City. Tigar lost control, causing the vehicle to cross the center line, go off the left side of the road and travel through a field onto residential property. The vehicle then hit a residential deck before coming to a stop.

Neither Tigar nor his passenger, Brianna Gonzagowski, 19, of Versailles, was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
