Jefferson City school board to vote on contracts

The Jefferson City School District Board of Education will vote Monday on whether to approve nine contracts.

The board is expected vote on health and special services contracts with Access Interpreters, Columbia Interpreting Services, Weeks Orientation and Mobility, Hood Vision Services, deaf educator Laura Scott, Lifesong for Growth and Wellness, SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital, and Specialized Education of Missouri.

It will also vote on whether to approve a contract with All Systems for $20,918 to add nine doors to the access control system at Capital City High School's stadium.

The meeting will include reports from Deputy Superintendent Bryan McGraw, Interim Chief Operating Officer Dawn Berhorst and Superintendent Larry Linthacum. Linthacum will also give an update on the district's strategic plan.

The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday at the Miller Performing Arts Center auditorium, 501 Madison St. in Jefferson City. It will be livestreamed on the JCSchools Videos YouTube channel.

At 5 p.m. Monday, there will be a meet-and-greet reception at Miller Performing Arts Center for administrators who started their roles this month, including McGraw, Berhorst, Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Education Heather Beaulieu and Chief Financial Officer Shari LePage.
