Riverside Park cleanup event rescheduled

Due to rain Thursday afternoon, a scheduled cleanup in Riverside Park was canceled and rescheduled for Monday.

The cleanup is part of what is known as the April Challenge to clean up parks around Jefferson City.

A table will be set up with gloves and trash bags for people to use, and maps will be available of areas on which the cleanups will be focused.

The cleanup schedule is as follows:

Monday - Riverside Park (East)

Thursday, April 15 - McKay Park (South)

Thursday, April 22 - Special Earth Day event - Memorial Park (West)

Thursday, April 29 - Washington Park (North)

All the cleanups are scheduled to take place 4-7 p.m.
