Every Thursday in April, a cleanup is planned around parks in Jefferson City, and volunteers are being sought to help.
Families, groups, organizations, neighbors and coworkers are being encouraged to come out 4-7 p.m. every Thursday in April to four different parks. A table will be set up with gloves and trash bags for people to use. Maps will be available of the areas that will be worked on as well as contest information as a team of people taking part will be chosen as a winner and promoted on social media.
The cleanup schedule is as follows:
Thursday: Riverside Park
Thursday, April 15: McKay Park
Thursday, April 22: Special Earth Day event at Memorial Park
Thursday, April 29: Washington Park
