One person hurt in accident Saturday night in Jefferson City

Alcohol is believed to have been a factor in a crash that seriously injured a Jefferson City man, Saturday night.

According to Jefferson City Police Department reports, officers were dispatched at 6:21 p.m. to the 1800 block of Tanner Bridge Road.

Morgan Strong, 31, of Jefferson City, was traveling southbound on Tanner Bridge when he lost control and left the roadway, striking a tree.

Strong was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle. Strong was taken by ambulance to University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia for treatment.
