A Russellville man has been sentenced to four years in prison in connection with a foot chase with authorities in February 2018.
Drew Puckett, 31, pleaded guilty during a hearing before Cole County Judge Dan Green to possession of methamphetamine and resisting arrest.
Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 9000 block of Old Bass Road in Eugene for a domestic violence incident, according to a Cole County Sheriff's Department probable cause statement.
A man, later identified as Puckett, had exited the rear of the residence and was walking toward a field. Puckett ignored orders to stop and ran a short distance before deputies could take him into custody.
Puckett was found to be in possession of a plastic bag containing methamphetamine.
