A Versailles man was one of five people injured in a two-vehicle wreck in Johnson County Saturday evening.

Justin M. Herr, 20, of Versailles, was seriously injured.

The Missouri Highway Patrol said the wreck occurred when a vehicle driven by a 15-year-old unnamed Sedalia juvenile attempted to cross U.S. 50 and entered into the path of Herr's vehicle.

Herr's vehicle struck the driver's side of the juvenile's vehicle, which came to rest in the right lane of westbound 50. Herr's vehicle went across the median and came to rest in the left lane of eastbound U.S. 50.

The juvenile was southbound at about 9 p.m. on U.S./50 at Route FF when the wreck occurred.

Herr and the juvenile were wearing seat belts.

Also injured in the juvenile's vehicle was a male and female juvenile, along with Katherin J. Chapin, 38, of Sedalia, who suffered moderate injuries.

All injured people in the wreck were taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia.
