2 injured in Mid-Missouri crashes

A Stover man was treated for serious injuries after crashing his ATV on Wednesday afternoon in Morgan County.

Missouri Highway Patrol reports show the crash occurred on Ivy Bend Road, just north of Bear Drive, around 2:38 p.m.

Joshua Griffey, 40, was inattentive and crossed the center line of the road. He went off the left side of the road, struck the ditch and overturned several times. He was flown by helicopter ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia.

Elsewhere on Wednesday, one person was hurt in a two vehicle crash in Maries County.

Patrol reports show the crash occurred at 6:10 p.m. on Missouri 89 in the city limits of Belle.

Dawn Hicks, 50, of Belle, failed to yield and struck the driver's side of a vehicle driven by Kathy Jackson, 54, of Bland.

Hicks had no reported injuries, but Jackson was transported to a hospital in Rolla for treatment of minor injuries. Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
