Blair Oaks R-2 director of business operations leaves for new job

The Blair Oaks R-2 Board of Education accepted the resignation of District Director of Business Operations Sheila Reinsch during a special meeting Friday.

Effective Dec. 31, Reinsch will leave the Falcon community after 23 years to become executive and board coordinator for Missouri LAGERS, according to a news release from the district.

"This is an outstanding opportunity for Mrs. Reinsch and her family," Superintendent Jim Jones said in the news release. "(She) is an outstanding leader. She has been an integral part of the success of the Blair Oaks R-II School District. Missouri LAGERS is getting a great leader and even better person."

LAGERS is the local government employee retirement system, based in Jefferson City.

The district will begin a search for Reinsch's successor immediately with the intent of having her assist in the process, Jones said.

Reinsch also serves as the Board of Education secretary.

"We have 1,234 students here and 100-plus staff," Jones said. "We're going to do our best to put the best person in that position."
