The Jamestown C-1 Board of Education recently approved an increase in lunch prices for the upcoming school year.

High school and elementary lunch prices increased by 10 cents, Superintendent Gretchen Guitard said.

Student lunch is $2 for elementary and $2.35 for high school. All other prices will remain the same: $2.75 adult lunch, $1.60 breakfast and 35 cents for milk.

The board also approved bids for dairy and bread from Prairie Farms.

A public tax rate hearing is scheduled for 5 p.m. Aug. 22 at the school. During the meeting, the board will review Cole and Moniteau counties' current assessed rates provided by officials. Afterward, a tax rate will be determined by the board.

The next board meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Aug. 8.
