The Cole County Clerk's Office will be mailing out new voter ID cards to all registered voters who are active in the county.

County Clerk Steve Korsmeyer is asking those with old voter cards to destroy them and use the new cards with the next election.

There is a special election scheduled Feb. 4 for Cole County Water District 4 in the Liberty/Taos voting precinct. The Missouri Presidential Primary is March 10.

On the new voter ID cards, Korsmeyer said, residents need to pay special attention to their name and address to ensure all information is correct.

Due to damage from the May 22 tornado, the polling place for Ward 5, Precinct 2, has been moved from Community Christian Church to the Knights of Columbus Hall at 1423 Tanner Bridge Road.

If you are a registered voter in the county and don't get your new voter ID card or verification notice by Jan. 15, you should contact the clerk's office at 573-634-9101. If you need to update your voter registration, visit colecounty.org/clerk.
