A Clarksburg man has been arrested in connection with an accident that authorities say led to the death of a California man.

Logan Rowles, 24, of Clarksburg, was arrested for DWI, resulting in the death of another, according to Missouri Highway Patrol reports.

The accident occurred Tuesday night in Cooper County, around 11:15 p.m., on California Drive, just south of Route H.

Rowles was going north on California Drive, driving a Bobcat skid steer.

Dylan Kramel, 20, of California, was riding in the bucket of the skid steer.

Rowles struck a pothole in the road, and Kramel was ejected. The skid steer then struck Kramel.

Kramel was taken to St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City and was pronounced dead early Wednesday morning.
