A CVS Pharmacy will open inside Schnucks in Jefferson City next month.
The pharmacy inside Schnucks, at 1801 Missouri Blvd., will transition into a CVS Pharmacy starting June 10, said Matt Blanchette, CVS Health manager of retail communications.
The CVS pharmacy is "part of a larger agreement between the two companies," Blanchette added.
CVS Pharmacy - a subsidiary of CVS Health Corporation - and Schnucks announced in March they entered into an agreement for "CVS Pharmacy and certain of its subsidiaries to acquire Schnuck Markets Inc.'s retail and specialty pharmacy businesses," according to the news release.
CVS Pharmacy and its subsidiaries will operate 99 of Schnucks' pharmacies and rebrand them as CVS pharmacies.
CVS Pharmacy also acquired 11 Schnucks pharmacies' prescription files and transferred them to nearby CVS Pharmacy locations, according to the news release.

"This partnership allows us to continue to provide quality pharmacy services to our customers in a manner they've come to expect, while supporting our mission to nourish people's lives."
