Julie Smith/News Tribune Nikki Payne, owner of Snob Shop and A Fine Mess Boutique, both located on E. High Street in downtown Jefferson City, will combine both shops into the current location of Snob Shop.

The start of a new decade means a new location for Fine Mess Boutique, which is moving down the street into the Snob Shop Exchange.

After opening at 222 E. High St. in 2014, Fine Mess Boutique's last day open at that location is Dec. 27. It will reopen Jan. 2 inside the Snob Shop Exchange, 211 E. High St., said Nikki Payne, owner of both stores.

When people walk into the Snob Shop Exchange next month, Fine Mess Boutique products - including new graphic T-shirts, jeans and handbags - will be the first things to greet them.

The secondhand clothes and accessories the Snob Shop Exchange is known for will be located toward the back.

The Snob Shop Exchange offers customers cash or in-store credit for items people give to the store, Payne said.

When Fine Mess Boutique is inside the Snob Shop Exchange, customers will be able to use the in-store credit for either new or used products.

"It gives our customers options all in one location," Payne said.
