Prep Baseball: Eldon 6, Sullivan 1

ELDON -- The Eldon Mustangs snapped a three-game losing streak Thursday with a 7-1 victory against the Sullivan Eagles.

The Mustangs jumped in front with two runs in the first, as Hunter Hees and Jacob Bishop had consecutive RBI doubles.

Sullivan cut its deficit in half with a run in the top of the second, but Eldon responded with four runs in the bottom of the third. The Mustangs plated two on an error and added the other two on a two-RBI single from Drew Hinds.

Hees threw a complete game on the mound, allowing just one run on five hits and no walks while striking out 13 batters.

Hees also went 2-for-3 at the plate with two runs and an RBI, Bishop had two hits, two RBI and a run scored and Hinds finished 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Eldon (4-4) will be back in action at 4:30 p.m. today when it hosts Buffalo.
