Two injured in Morgan County crashes

A Sedalia man was injured in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday morning in Morgan County.

At 10:22 a.m., Travis A. Cooper, 53, of Sedalia, was driving west on Missouri 52 in a 2018 Mack Pinnacle when he lost consciousness, according to a Highway Patrol crash report.

The vehicle went off the road and hit a tree, inflicting minor injuries on Cooper.

Mid-Mo Ambulance transported Cooper to Bothwell Hospital for treatment.

A California man was injured in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday evening in Morgan County.

At 5:09 p.m., Jeffery D. Griggs, 59, of California, was driving east on Route C in a 2001 Ford Sport Trac when he had to swerve to avoid hitting a vehicle crossing from Ridgewood Road.

According to a Highway Patrol crash report, Griggs' vehicle went off the right side of the road. Griggs overcorrected, bringing the vehicle back onto the road, then off the left side of the road, where it hit an embankment.

The vehicle overturned and hit a fence before finally coming to a stop.

Griggs suffered minor injuries and Mid-Mo Ambulance brought him to MU Health Care Capital Region Medical Center for treatment.
