St. Mary's Hospital Auxiliary Club

The St. Mary's Hospital Auxiliary recently presented the hospital with a $25,000 donation to buy over-the-bed tables for patient rooms. The new beds have been ordered and should arrive in early April. The auxiliary also bought a supply of pink and blue baby caps to be given to new arrivals at the hospital.

Volunteer Services Manager Bev Stafford said she has been busy with student activities, such as job shadowing and the JC Vocational Program, which provides work experience at the hospital for developmentally challenged students. These activities are coming back after being on hold due to Covid.

Bev Stafford, Linda Oligschlaeger and Christy Trimble will head to market March 18-24 in Dallas to buy new items for the hospital's gift shop. The gift shop, which is open from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday through Friday, offers a wide array of unique gift items, including a large selection of religious items for such occasions as Baptism, First Holy Communion and Confirmation.

The auxiliary's Founder's Day Luncheon and General Membership Meeting will be held at 11:30 a.m. May 10 in the SSM Health Plaza Conference Center, Garden Level. Doors will open at 11 a.m. The cost is $10.

The event will honor the auxiliary's past presidents and will include presentations from Auxiliary President Emily Scheulen and the Missouri Hospital Association/Missouri Hospital Auxiliary Association. RSVPs are due by May 3 to Auxiliary Treasurer Diane Wildhaber. Guests are welcome. For more information, contact Bev Stafford at 573-681-3743 or [email protected].
