Bands at the Bluffs returns to Jefferson City Saturday with a night of music, food and drink.
There will be four bands, like usual, with Down Side Up kicking off the evening.
They will be followed by C Rock City.
"They've got a big variety of music where they play '50s, '60s, all the way up to the modern day music," organizer Danny Baumgartner said of C Rock City. "So it's kind of cool listening to some of the old songs they play and then they turn around and play a modern song."
The Dave Baker Band will continue the fun before SoulRoot closes out the night.
"They're like Dave Baker, they're very established around here," Baumgartner said of SoulRoot. "But not only around here. (Vocalist) Ron (Schieferdecker) plays all over the central United States."
Each band will perform for about an hour and a half before switching, according to Baumgartner.
"We don't want to call it Battle of the Bands, because it's really not a battle, it's just pulling four bands and they all complement each other and I like that," Baumgartner said.
He added, "It's a really fun event. I do it once a year, it's always in February. I look forward to it every year. I like seeing the bands get together and talk to each other."
Bands at the Bluff will be held at the Capital Bluffs Event Center, 1616 Oil Well Road. Doors open at 3:30 p.m. and the music will begin at 4 p.m. There will be a cash bar and food available for purchase throughout the event.
