The Jefferson City West Rotary Club is gearing up for its third annual Music Fest.
Eight local artists will each perform a 15-minute set. Those in attendance will vote for their favorite artist in the form of donations, which will later be tallied up before announcing the winner.
The Red Slipper Warrior Big Band will perform while the votes are being tallied up. To avoid scheduling conflicts with the musicians' usual Saturday night gigs, the event has switched this year from a Saturday night date to Sunday afternoon. The event will be held from 2-5 p.m. Feb. 25.
This year also brings a new location. Moving from the usual location at the Miller Performing Arts Center, this year will be held at Capital City Productions so attendees can enjoy food and drinks during the event. Varieties of food, as well as soda, water and beer, will be for sale at the event.
Erin Hart from 94.3 Kat Country will serve as emcee.
Performers include Xavier Jordan, Kyle Caraway, Chloe Hoecker, Jordan Scroobious, Molly Healey, Tim Haas, Abigail Rose and Rod, John & Buff.
All proceeds will go to Jefferson City West Rotary to fund youth scholarships, youth exchange, Service Park improvements and the eradication of polio.
Tickets are $25. To purchase tickets, contact any club member or message the club's Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/events/1795400170874099/.
