VERSAILLES -- The Versailles Tigers and Lady Tigers combined to win four events Monday in their home meet, the Versailles Invitational.
Kylee Richey took home two of the event wins as an individual and added a first-place finish as a relay leg on the girls side. The Lady Tigers won the team title in their home meet -- featuring 22 schools -- with 102.5 points.
Richey won both the high jump and long jump, while also teaming with Brooke Anderson, Jesse Graham and Josie Stevens to win the girls 4x400-meter relay. Richey added a second-place finish in the triple jump.
Jason Vansell took home the Tigers’ lone event win on the boys side in the shot put.
The Calvary Lutheran Lions and Lady Lions also combined to win four events.
Sydney Morris claimed both titles on the girls side, while Jaxson Jobe was a double-winner on the boys side.
Morris won both the shot put and discus throw, continuing her unbeaten streak in those two events to start the season. The Lady Lions took third place with 62.5 points.
Jobe won both the 1,600- and 3,200-meter runs for the Lions.
The New Bloomfield Wildcats and Lady Wildcats combined to win three events.
Jacob Fuhriman was the lone individual winner for New Bloomfield, taking home honors in the boys 300-meter hurdles.
The other two event wins came in relays.
Hunter Rackers, Conor Lawrence, Riley Connell and Ben Speaks teamed to win the boys 4x400, while Addison Baker, Kaelyn Tighe, Marley Hunt and Ella Trigg won the girls 4x800.
New Bloomfield took second place in the boys team standings with 115 points, four behind meet champion Warsaw.
The Russellville Indians had two first-place finishing, leading to third place in the boys standings with 84 points.
Keaton Schrimpf won the boys 110-meter hurdles for the Indians and Grant Smith took first place in the discus.
The Tipton Lady Cardinals won two events. Clara Williams won individual honors in the girls 300 hurdles, while also teaming with Nina Allison, Cailey Savage and Addison McQuaide in the 4x200-meter relay to win the event.
