Prep Baseball: Southern Boone 15, School of the Osage 0

OSAGE BEACH -- Logan Easley, Blaine Hargis and Jackson Woodward combined to pitch a no-hitter Tuesday for the Southern Boone Eagles in their 15-0 win against the School of the Osage Indians in Tri-County Conference play.

Easley was the winning pitcher, striking out seven batters and walking one in four innings. Hargis struck out the side in his one inning of relief in the fifth, while Woodward had three strikeouts and one walk in the final two innings.

Southern Boone led 6-0 after three innings, then scored its remaining nine runs in the top of the seventh.

Jace Reynolds finished 4-for-5 with four singles and two RBI, while Ryker Zimmerman had three hits, including one double, and two RBI. Chase Morris hit a two-run home run in the second inning and a two-run double in the seventh.

Jace Wren and AJ Evans each had two hits for the Eagles and Hunter Richardson drove in two runs.

Southern Boone (17-5, 3-1 Tri-County), ranked No. 3 in Class 4, begins play today in the River City Festival at Lawrence, Kan., with a game against Olathe North, Kan.

Osage (5-7, 0-3 Tri-County) opens the Turf War Tournament with a first-round game Friday against Linn at Versailles.
