Prep Baseball: School of the Osage 17, Russellville 7

OSAGE BEACH -- Chance Ottens drove in six runs from the leadoff spot for the School of the Osage Indians, who scored multiple runs in every inning of a 17-7 win Thursday against the Russellville Indians.

Ottens went 3-for-4, hitting a two-run single in the second inning, a bases-clearing double in the third and an RBI single in the fourth.

Tyler Shull and Gavin Black each finished with two hits and three RBI for Osage, while John Kimrey had two hits and two RBI and Preston Coil added a pair of hits.

Landon Klee, Dalan Johnston and Black each scored three runs in Osage’s run-rule win in five innings.

Tucker Willoughby was the winning pitcher. In 3⅔ innings of relief, he allowed an unearned run on seven hits with one walk and three strikeouts.

Klee finished with three walks and three strikeouts in the first 1⅓ innings on the mound.

Russellville scored six runs in the top of the second inning to take a 7-2 lead. Osage answered with the game’s next 15 runs, highlighted by a seven-run third inning.

Jack Lake led the Russellville offense, going 3-for-3 with a double. Tate Jennewein drove in a pair of runs.

Osage (5-6) hosts Class 4 No. 4 Southern Boone on Tuesday for a Tri-County Conference matchup.

Russellville (5-9) hosts Harrisburg today.
