Gov. Mike Parson addresses students, chaperones and members of the General Federation of Women's Clubs of Missouri during Tuesday's Sophomore Pilgrimage lunch at First United Methodist Church. While a few are from this area, most were visiting from around the state for activities surrounding the 89th annual event, which saw the students and chaperones visit the Capitol and the Supreme Court.
Amelia Larson, a sophomore at Fairfax R-3 High School, is interested in government.
So when she heard about the annual Sophomore Pilgrimage from her school counselor, she decided to apply to the event.
