FULTON, Mo. -- A Republican Congressional District Convention will be held Saturday in Fulton.
The convention is one of eight across the state aimed at electing delegates and alternates to the Republican National Convention. Saturday's convention will move three delegates and alternates forward, as well as two delegates and alternates from Missouri's at-large slate and a presidential elector to serve on the electoral college for the 2024 presidential election cycle.
Saturday's Congressional District Convention will begin at 10 a.m. at Cutlip Auditorium in McNutt Campus Center at William Woods University.
Registration will begin at 8 a.m.
Delegates and alternates selected during the March 2 caucuses are required to attend their regional district convention.
Other district conventions in Missouri will be held in St. Louis, Baldwin, Sedalia, Kansas City, Chillicothe, Monett and Poplar Bluff.
The Republican Party's State Convention will be May 4 in Springfield. At the state convention, 27 at-large delegates and 27 alternates will be elected to the national convention. Participants will ratify one presidential elector and elect two members to serve on the Republican National Committee.
The Republican National Convention will be July 15-18 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. During the convention, the Republican Party will elect its nominee for president of the United States and vice president of the United States.
