Residents practice paddling on Binder Lake

Local residents traveled the winding, sun-dappled road along Binder Lake's shores to learn how to kayak Friday.

On a quiet scrap of sand next to a small dock and boat ramp, naturalists from Runge Nature Center taught 10 local Missourians the basics of kayaking.
