A Cole County traffic accident caused minor injuries to a Dixon woman early Friday morning.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, 28-year-old Julia N. Novotny, at about 6:04 a.m., was northbound on Route B near Higgins Creek Road in a Pontiac G5 when she swerved to the right to avoid a deer.
Her car left the road, struck a tree and overturned.
Novotny, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by private vehicle to Phelps Health hospital in Rolla for treatment.
