Building Community Bridges continues to collect food for its sixth annual Thanksgiving dinner giveaway.
Through Friday, the nonprofit will accept hams, whole turkeys, instant potatoes, gravy, stuffing mix, canned green beans, canned cranberry sauce and desserts. Those interested in contributing can drop off items at the BCB offices, 213 E. Ashley St. in Jefferson City.
Families must register to receive the Thanksgiving package by calling 573-832-3426. BCB staff anticipate giving away packages to 100 families this year. As of Wednesday, 61 families had registered.
Packages will be distributed from 2-6 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday.
