A Jefferson City woman faces several charges after her arrest over the weekend.

Cassidy Bible, 39, was charged in Cole County with possession of a controlled substance, hindering the prosecution of a felony and delivery or possession of a prohibited item at a correctional center.

A probable cause statement from the Jefferson City Police Department said Bible was contacted outside of her residence Sunday evening during a warrant arrest, where she was notified there had been a tip that a wanted felon was hiding out inside her house. She reportedly denied the allegations and denied access to her house.

Permission was obtained from her romantic partner, who reported an unknown female was hiding in the basement. The fugitive was located, and Bible was taken to jail, where drugs and drug items were reportedly located on her.

Court records show previous convictions for drug and drug paraphernalia possession, theft and assault.
