The Missouri men’s and women’s basketball teams have already begun their work in the transfer portal.

The Missouri men collected their first commitment of the 2023 offseason Monday in Colorado State transfer guard John Tonje.

Tonje, a 6-foot-5 fifth-year graduate, spent the past four years at Colorado State, playing all 33 games last season while averaging 14.6 points and 4.7 rebounds per game, while shooting 38.9 percent from 3.

On the way out for the Missouri men is center Mohamed Diarra, who made six starts for the Tigers last season, averaging 3.2 points and 3.3 rebounds per contest while blocking 15 shots.

On the womens’ side, fifth-year graduate guard Lauren Hansen entered the portal Tuesday.

Hansen spent the past three seasons in Columbia after playing her freshman season at Auburn and recorded career highs in points (12.9) and rebounds (2.9) per game this past season.

Hansen recorded her 1,000th career point Feb. 17 and leaves Missouri with a total of 889 points as a Tiger, averaging 10.6 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game the past three years.
