A total of nine players and eight coaches from the Jefferson City area received top honors when the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association announced its all-district teams for the 2022-23 season.
Receiving district player of the year honors were Jefferson City sophomore Jordan Martin (Class 5 District 5 boys), Helias junior Adalyn Koelling (Class 5 District 5 girls), Nate Brandt (Class 4 District 9 boys), California senior Lauren Friedrich (Class 4 District 9 girls), Versailles junior Ryder Williams (Class 4 District 10 boys), Eldon senior Haley Henderson (Class 4 District 10 girls), Linn senior Aushara Hostetler (Class 3 District 9 girls), Tipton senior Myra Claas (Class 2 District 8 girls) and St. Elizabeth senior Jace Kesel (Class 1 District 6 boys).
Earning district coach of the year honors were Jefferson City's Josh Buffington (Class 5 District 5 boys), Jefferson City's Kay Foster (Class 5 District 5 girls), Southern Boone's Damon Wren (Class 4 District 9 girls), Fatima's Matt Baker (Class 4 District 10 girls), Tipton's Jason Culpepper (Class 2 District 8 girls), Eugene's Brian Wilde (Class 2 District 9 boys), St. Elizabeth's Caleb Heckemeyer (Class 1 District 6 boys) and St. Elizabeth's Quentin Voss (Class 1 District 9 girls).
