Prep Baseball: Russellville 17, Tuscumbia 0

RUSSELLVILLE -- The Russellville Indians started Show-Me Conference play Thursday with a 17-0 victory in three innings against the Tuscumbia Lions.

Russellville scored 13 runs in the top of the first inning and added four more runs in the second.

Bryce Bryant led the Indians’ hitting attack with two hits and three RBI, while Jesse Daniel and Nolan Gartner each had two hits and two RBI. Alex Oligschlaeger and Chris Seaver each had one double and drove in three runs.

Oligschlaeger was the winning pitcher for Russellville, striking out four batters in two innings. Bryant struck out one batter in one inning of relief in the third to finish the no-hitter.

Liam Phillips and Zack Cline each struck out two batters for Tuscumbia.

Russellville (3-0, 1-0 Show-Me), ranked No. 1 in Class 2, plays today at Montgomery County.

Tuscumbia (0-2, 0-1 Show-Me) hosts Stoutland on Monday.
