Road work begins Monday on two Lohman roads

by News Tribune staff [email protected] | June 9, 2023 at 4:00 a.m.

Lohman drivers will need to be cautious and plan for delays and detours starting Monday.

Cole County Public Works crews will be replacing failed stormwater culverts along Scruggs Station Road and Foxfire Lane, according to a public works news release.

The work is in preparation for chip-and-seal surface treatments and asphalt overlay coming in July and late summer.

Sections of Scruggs Station Road will be closed from 7 a.m.-4:30 p.m. until Thursday. Foxfire Lane will remain open, but will likely have delays due to the work.

The work should be fully completed by June 29, barring inclement weather, the release said.
