It became official Wednesday. Kobe Brown is going to the NBA Draft.

The deadline for players to revoke their decision to go into the draft and rejoin their college teams came and went at 11:59 p.m. Wednesday night, hours after Brown sent a goodbye tweet during the evening.

“These last four years have been some of the best years of my life. I really enjoyed playing for the black and gold,” Brown said in his goodbye video. “… It’s all been great and I couldn’t be happier to call Mizzou home. But with that being said, it’s time for me to chase my dream, I’ll be staying in the NBA Draft.”

Brown will likely become the first Missouri Tiger drafted since Michael Porter Jr. in 2018.

A four-year Tiger and one of only three players to remain with the team through the transition to coach Dennis Gates, Brown is a projected second-round pick after averaging 15.8 points per game to go with 6.4 rebounds.

Brown saw big improvements after Gates took the reins, the largest of which was his shooting ability beyond the arc, where he went from a .237-percent shooter on 207 total attempts in his first three seasons to a .455 shooter on 112 attempts last year.
