MRRL sale to honor longtime library employee

Missouri River Regional Library's annual sale benefiting the United Way will be held next week.

The 15th annual Craft and Bake Sale will be held at the library's main branch, 214 Adams St.

The sale will be open 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday.

It will be held this year in memory of Qhyrrae Michaelieu, the longtime planner and crafter of the sale, who died this fall after a battle with cancer, according to a MRRL news release.

"The library staff appreciate the United Way's commitment to the community, and we look forward to supporting them through this fundraiser every year," library Director Claudia Young said in the release. "Our staff is so talented, and we are amazed every year with the new items they create. We also have some of the best baked goods that make excellent snacks or gifts this holiday season."
