Authorities have found the body of an 80-year-old Gravois Mills woman who died after she drove her car into the Lake of the Ozarks.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Floy M. Beard drove her car into the Lake of the Ozarks about 2:47 p.m. Thursday near Clover Road in Morgan County.
The crash report states that Floy lost control of her Chevrolet Equinox for an unknown reason. The car was recovered from the lake.
Investigators found Floy's body about 7:03 a.m. Friday. Hunter Denman, of the Morgan County Coroner's Office, pronounced her dead.
The fatality marks the 15th for Troop F during 2023.
