Southside market returns Saturday, as the open-air event in Jefferson City's historic Old Munichburg features local vendors selling everything from antiques to handmade items.

The Southside Market is held from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. every fourth Saturday from April to September on Dunklin Street.

Typically, the market is made up of around 50 percent vintage and eclectic vendors, lots of baked goods, craft vendors and even a few clothing vendors.

This month, there will be more of an "art district" feel to the market day, said Lizzie Lou Harlan, business chair for the Old Munichburg Association.

In addition to these vendors, there will also be a coffee truck selling mixed drinks to keep you energized so you can keep shopping. All proceeds from the Miracle Whip food truck benefit MUTTZ to Miracles Rescue and Rehabilitation Center.

Ellies Barkery & Frozen Treats will be setting up dog water stations as well as selling dog treats, which Harlan said will be helpful during the hotter months.

"We've been wanting to provide outside food. Ecco provides burgers to us, so the Old Munichburg Association booth will have Ecco burgers for sale for a fundraiser," Harlan said.

"It's just a great family-friendly day to get out," Harlan added.
