In conjunction with its annual weeklong LU Springfest, Lincoln University has decided to hold a spring carnival for the whole community from noon-5 p.m. Saturday at The Linc.

The event will include the classic carnival favorites such as rides, a bounce house, face painting, food trucks, a petting zoo and other fun family-friendly activities.

"The carnival is something new that we wanted to be able to offer to bring the community to campus," said Misty Nunn, Lincoln's Executive Director of University and Alumni Relations.

Wristbands for entry can be purchased at the gate upon arrival. They are $5 for ages 4-12 and $10 for 13 and up. The event is free for children 3 and under. There will be an additional charge for feed at the petting zoo.

Nunn said Lincoln is excited to host this carnival to kick off the spring season before the community heads into fair season.

"We are really excited to be able to do this. This isn't something that we've done before, but we want to remind people that Lincoln University is the Capital City's university, so we want people to come over and see our campus," she said. "We think that this is a great opportunity for them to get their first steps on campus."
