Girls Tennis: Hickman 7, Helias 2

The Helias Lady Crusaders lost 7-2 to the Hickman Kewpies in Wednesday’s Central Missouri Activities Conference dual at the Crusader Athletic Complex.

Liz Drainer won 8-5 at No. 6 singles and Samantha Schlacks and Mary Lorang won 8-3 at No. 2 doubles for the Lady Crusaders.

Catie Meystrik and Hannah Meystrik dropped their doubles match 1-8, while Lily Delk and Drainer lost 5-8.

Losing in singles for Helias were Catie Meystrik (0-8), Schlacks (6-8), Hannah Meystrik (1-8), Delk (2-8) and Lorang (5-8).

Helias (7-5, 3-2 CMAC) wraps up conference play today with a home dual against Sedalia Smith-Cotton.

In Tuesday’s JV dual, Helias won 6-1 against Hickman.

Winning in doubles for the Lady Crusaders were Emma Komoroski and Katie Roling (8-6), Sydney Drinkard and Jada Markway (8-2), Elena Myers and Josie Francka (8-4), Alana Hynes and Caroline Hayes (8-3), Izzy Struemph and Lydia Gassen (8-3) and Lizzy Sneller and Anna Worthen (8-6). Chloe Nilges and Ashlynn Wolken lost 6-8.
