The Blair Oaks Board of Education will meet to hear presentations on its beverage contract, the expansion of Falcon Lane, and the future goals for baseball and softball facilities Tuesday.

The board will also listen to reports on programs and consider policy updates.

The board spent some time at its last meeting debating the merits of a beverage contract with Pepsi or Coca-Cola and is set to hear presentations Tuesday on the proposals. The board will also hear more about the potential expansion of Falcon Lane, the road on which the schools are located, and another on "baseball/softball future goals."

During the reports portion of the meeting, the board will hear about food service, Parents as Teachers, preschool, and secondary science and social studies curriculum.

The board will also review recommendations for policy changes and updates to comply with recent legislative changes and may vote to adopt necessary policies that were missing during policy review. One new policy, Policy 5620, would allow students to be transported in vehicles other than school buses.

The board will also set filing dates for school board candidates. Possible dates listed on the agenda show filing beginning Dec. 6 and ending Dec. 28.

The board meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Blair Oaks Intermediate School library.
