Jefferson City area job seekers will have the opportunity for on-site interviews with local employers at the Capital City Job Center this week.
The center, located in the Capital Mall, will host on-site interviews Wednesday in collaboration with JobFinders Employment Services, a staffing firm with locations across Mid-Missouri. The interviews will be 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
Full-time and part-time jobs in the manufacturing, welding, drafting and clerical sectors are available.
"As many employers are having difficulties finding employees to fill their vacancies, we want to provide as much assistance as we can," said Sundi Jo Graham, Central Workforce Development Region communications coordinator. "We want to help employers in Jefferson City and surrounding areas in their hiring process, while also helping the job seeker find meaningful and sustainable employment."
The Capital Mall site is one of four Mid-Missouri job centers offering services for prospective employees and employers through the efforts of the Missouri Office of Workforce Development, the Central Ozarks Private Industry Council and the Central Workforce Development Board, as well as community partners.
The site also offers talent search assistance through the state-run MoJobs database, labor market data, employee-retention efforts, hiring services, educational assistance and veterans services. Job seekers can receive job search assistance, training services, workshops, work-based learning and skill assessments.
The site hosts numerous hiring and interview events, including monthly Walk-In Wednesdays the second week of each month with numerous employers from different industries for job-seekers to interview with.
The Capital City Job Center is located in the Capital Mall at 3600 Country Club Drive, Suite 2004. Those interested in the event can pre-register at cwdregion.com/jobfinders.
