• Woody Invasive Plant Removal, 10 a.m.-noon March 17: Plant species like bush honeysuckle, privet, burning bush and autumn olive can be an invasive species across forests and prairies, destroying habitat for other native plants and animals. Learn to identify and eliminate these plants on the Runge Nature Center grounds. Participants will receive a native shrub to plant at home. MDC will provide the gloves and tools, and long pants and shoes recommended, as the event can get dirty. Registration is required at bit.ly/34rFLXg. Ages 8 and older recommended.

• Native Plant Sale, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. March 26: Enjoy the beauty of state plants at Runge Nature Center's annual native plant sale, offered in partnership with the GrowNative!
