Bryan, Swinfard capture Missouri Junior Tour titles

Jefferson City's Dylan Bryan and Camryn Swinfard posted the top scores in the boys and girls 16-18 year-old divisions Wednesday in the Missouri Junior Tour event at Oak Hills Golf Center.

A total of 82 golfers competed in nine age divisions during the third stop on this summer's Junior Tour, which played earlier this month at Heritage Hills Golf Course in Moberly and Deer Chase Golf Course in Linn Creek.

Bryan had the low score out of 15 competitors in the 16-18 boys division, shooting a 5-over 75. Bryan birdied the par-3 third and seventh holes, adding 11 pars, four bogeys and one triple-bogey to his round.

Eldon's Teagen Hull tied for second with a 9-over 79, while Linn's Jett Maasen and Jefferson City's Noah Coleman tied for third with an 11-over 81.

Swinfard led the 16-18 girls division with a 17-over 87. Swinfard birdied the par-4 17th hole and also posted three pars, 10 bogeys and four double-bogeys in his round.

Centralia's Kennedy Dickerson and Columbia's Grace Ousley tied for second with a 24-over 94.

California's Ayden Howard won the 14-15 year-old boys division with a 6-over 76. Howard birdied the par-5 11th hole and also recorded 10 pars and seven bogeys in his round.

Jefferson City's Dawson Schnieders took second with a 78, shooting a 1-under 33 on the front nine with a birdie on the par-4 fourth hole, and Rolla's Chayton Jordan placed third with a 79.

Eldon's Avery Wells won the 14-15 year-old girls division with a 19-over 89. Wells carded three pars, 12 bogeys, two double-bogeys and one triple-bogey in her round.

Jefferson City's Flynn Hamilton finished second with a 109 and Jefferson City's Mia McGraw took third with a 110.

In the 12-13 year-old boys division that played 18 holes, Jefferson City's Michael Atnip won with a 14-over 84. Atnip finished with six pars, 11 bogeys and one triple-bogey in his round.

Linn's Lake Bennett placed second with a 92.

In the 12-13 boys division that played nine holes, Jefferson City's Ty Brandt was the winner with a 4-over 40 on the back nine. Brandt birdied the par-4 15th hole and also had three pars and five bogeys.

Ashland's Kaden Massie took second with a 41 and Mokane's Eli Hutchison finished third with a 42.

Jefferson City's Claire Sinnett won the 10-13 year-old girls division with a 10-over 46. Jefferson City's Emilee Sinnett and Columbia's Reginald Simmons tied for second with a 47.

Camdenton's Luke McGrath won the 10-11 year-old boys division with a 3-over 39, posting birdies on the 10th and 17th holes. Eldon's Grahan Henley placed second with a 42 and Jefferson City's Bubba McGraw and Jack Sinnett tied for third with a 46.

Washington's Hunter Brown and Columbia's Calvin Sears tied for first in the 8-9 year-old boys division with a 47, but Brown was declared the winner after beating Sears in a chip-off. Mokane's Finn Hutchison and Camdenton's Mark McGrath tied for third with a 51.

The next event on the Junior Tour is Monday at Meadow Lake Acres Country Club in New Bloomfield.
